Just days before the country went to war in Iraq, Dottie Herman purchased Douglas Elliman New York for $73,000,000. Today she is CEO of one of the premier real estate companies in New York City. As she describes it losing a parent at a young age really taught her to be fearless because she didn't have anyone to coddle her. Everyone's mind is on the Realty bubble bursting; Dottie's view is that you can't liken it to the stock market. Sure there may a slowing down or a dip but she sees Real Estate as strong for a long time.
