Whew! Its getting back to the Miami Beach we know and love. About ninety percent of inhabitants have their lights back. "Open House" was knocked out again this week because of all the downed trees and debris lying around. Instead I have pics of pre-hurricane Wilma. Two Icons of Design and Architecture have come together to create what else but "Icon Brickell." Actually it is the second Icon. Their first collaboration produced Icon South Beach which was a sell out success. Philippe Starck is world renowed for his unique design imprints in such hotel world classics as the Royalton and Paramount hotels in New York. Jorge Perez, Founder and Chairman of The Related Group of Florida is well known for such luxury highrise projects as: The Mark on Brickell, Portofino Tower, The Yacht Club at Portofino, Murano at Portofino, Murano Grande, Ocean I, Ocean II, Ocean III and Ocean IV, The Venture and Aventura Marina among many others in West Palm Beach and now Las Vegas, NV. The third Icon to round out the picture is Bradford Korzen, Founder and Ceo of The Kor Group.
